Fat Biking. Essentially a mountain bike with big, soft tires that go a long way (pardon the pun) to mitigating rough, snowy terrain, these bikes have won over a lot of fans.
Close cousin to sports like snowshoeing and cross country skiing, Fat Biking has really taken off in the past few years. Winter Fat Biking seems to the the next big thing in Muskoka! Visitors are loving biking the snow and it’s a lot simpler than it looks (or sounds)! There are many great trails to explore in and around our great region. Some are more challenging than others, but all rely upon a generous layer of snow.
